Nishat Awan

Nishat Awan is a Lecturer in Architecture at University of Sheffield. Her research focuses on the intersection of geo-politics and space, in particular working with the topics of migration and borders. She is interested in developing creative and transdisciplinary methodologies and is a member of the art/architecture collective OPENkhana. She is author of Diasporic Agencies (Ashgate, 2016), co-author of Spatial Agency (Routledge, 2011) and co-editor of Trans-Local-Act (aaa-peprav, 2011).
